■Yuto Nagatomo player
Born September 12, 1986. He attracted attention in 2006 when he was selected as an All-Japan University Selectman while attending Meiji University, and in 2008, his first year as a professional player, he won both the J League Outstanding Player Award and Outstanding Newcomer Award with FC Tokyo. After the FIFA World Cup held in South Africa in June 2010, he transferred to Cesena of the Italian First Division (Serie A) in July. Then, in January 2011, it was decided that he would transfer to Milan-based Inter Milan, which shocked soccer fans not only in Japan but around the world. At the 2018 World Cup held in Russia, he was selected as a member of the Japanese national team for the third consecutive tournament, participating in all four games and contributing to the team’s advancement to the final tournament. After that, after moving around the world’s prestigious clubs such as Galatasaray and Olympique Marseille, he returned to FC Tokyo. In 2022, he will play in all World Cup games in Qatar for the fourth time (the most by any Japanese).
