SOICO Co., Ltd. ■Purpose/background
Since its founding, SOICO has provided consulting support to over 800 startups and venture companies, focusing on capital policy support. The Japanese government is also putting effort into creating startups, and in June 2022, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced 69 support measures as “startup support measures.” However, the reality is that there are only three measures related to M&A and none regarding IPO, and there is little support for exit strategies. Meanwhile, in June of this year, the “Basic Policies for Economic and Fiscal Management and Reform 2023” and the “Grand Design and Implementation Plan for New Capitalism (2023 Revised Edition)” included “Creation of Zebra Enterprises and Impact Investment and Financing.” In the explanation of “expansion,” he touched on “supporting businesses working to resolve regional issues” and “improving the vitality of mid-sized and small businesses.” A “zebra company” is a company that operates with the aim of achieving sustainable growth and a sustainable society. Unlike “unicorn companies,” which are unlisted startups that have been established within 10 years and have a market capitalization of over $1 billion (approximately 110 billion yen) and aim for rapid growth in a short period of time, A company that aims for coexistence and co-prosperity. In recent years, as the importance of sustainability has increased, this is a new form of corporate management that is attracting worldwide attention.
In consideration of the environment surrounding startups and ventures, SOICO has launched a total solution service, “Zebra Company,” which provides all-in-one services from inception to IPO or M&A, in order to aim for “Zebra Company”, in addition to the existing capital policy support. We will begin providing “Creation Support”.
Specifically, we provide start-up support programs in collaboration with tax accountant corporations, social labor consultant
corporations, judicial scrivener corporations, etc., as well as fund raising, human resources recruitment, establishment of personnel systems, issuance of stock options, IPO preparation support, and M&A support.
