Meltwater Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: John Box) will be receiving the “D&I Award 2022″, an award that recognizes companies working on D&I (diversity and inclusion), sponsored by JobRainbow Co., Ltd. on December 13, 2023. We have been certified as a “Best Workplace”, the highest level of certification. This is the second consecutive year of certification, following 2022.

What is “D&I Award”?
The D&L Award aims to promote D&I in society as a whole and to promote D&I as a matter of course through the three objectives of “supporting companies that are working on D&I,” “updating the state of D&I,” and “making it easier to promote D&I.” This award recognizes companies that work on diversity and inclusion with the aim of realizing the “society.”
We score the D&I efforts of companies operating in Japan (including companies headquartered outside of Japan, non-profit organizations, research institutions, etc.) using a unique evaluation index called the “Diversity Score” and award certification based on the score. . What is “Best Workplace Certification”?
We are working to promote D&I at a high level not only in Japan but also globally, fostering a corporate culture of D&I, and having each employee actively work as an individual responsible for promoting D&I. This award is given to an advanced company that reflects D&I in all aspects of its business and corporate organization and extends it outside the company.
Meltwater Japan entered the D&I Award for the second time last year and was recognized as a “Best Workplace” with a score of 83 out of 100.
In-house initiatives
At Meltwater, we have organized a global team to promote DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and are centered around one of our core values, Respekt (meaning respect in Norwegian). We are continuing our efforts to achieve this goal.
We have established a hierarchical D&I promotion system in our offices around the world, and are holding various events and programs such as “Women in Tech,” which focuses on the career development and challenges of women in the tech industry, led by the D&I Committee set up in each area. We are implementing it.
At our Japanese branch, we have deepened our employees’ knowledge and understanding of DEI through workshops organized by JobRainbow, which is sponsored by this award, and events that invite guest speakers from outside the company.
