OMRON Corporation (Headquarters: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga) is a member of S&P Global Commodity Insights, an annual forum for companies and individuals working on climate change countermeasures. Corporate Sustainability – Energy Consumer Category of the 2023 S&P Global Platts Global Energy Award – Selected as a finalist in the Energy Consumer category). The awards, also known as the “Academy Awards” of the energy industry, had 21 award categories, with a total of 207 companies and individuals from 33 countries selected as finalists. OMRON is working on a long-term vision, “Shaping the Future 2030 (SF2030),” with a goal of 2030. This selection as a finalist was in recognition of our overall efforts to contribute to the realization of a “carbon-neutral society” as set out in SF2030. In particular, the expansion of energy saving and energy creation at all global locations was highly praised. Finalists from all over the world will gather in New York for the award ceremony on December 7, 2023. Although Omron did not win, we will continue to contribute to the creation of a sustainable society by achieving carbon neutrality through our business.
