When we conducted a survey to find out what kind of reviews about range hoods people would consider, the number one answer was “ease of cleaning.”
We will also introduce other items in ranking format.

Ease of cleaning was ranked number one.
The second and subsequent rankings were “resistance to dirt” and “ease of use,” followed by “durability” and “design,” which came in 8th place.
1st place: Ease of cleaning
・As I often cook, oil often splatters, so it would be nice if it was easy to clean. Therefore, it is easier to use if the shape is not complicated or if the material is easy to remove dirt. (Female in her 20s)
– The more you use it, the more it gets dirty, so make sure it’s easy to clean. Whether the parts are removable and easy to put on and take off, etc. (Female in her 20s)
– The range hood is the most difficult part of the kitchen to clean. It’s hard to reach and the dirt is sticky. Therefore, it is the easiest to clean. (Female in her 30s)

Some people said they wanted to choose a range hood that doesn’t get dirty so much that they don’t have to clean it as much.
3rd place: Ease of use
・Since a range hood is something you use on a regular basis, it is important to consider how easy it is to use. (Male in his 30s) ・What I am looking for most in a range hood is high exhaust capacity (ease of use) since I live in a small 1DK room. (Male over 50s) ・Once you put on the range hood, you’ll be using it for a while, so we wanted to make sure it’s easy to use. (female teenager)
4th place: Driving sound
・Sometimes it is used when children sleep indoors. It is better to run as quietly as possible. Also, I thought it would be annoying if it was noisy when I was cooking while my family was watching TV. (Female in her 30s)
・I’m most concerned about noise, and I’m always worried that the noise will cause complaints from the neighbors, so I refer to reviews about noise when driving the most. (Male in his 20s)

5th place: Price
・In this era of high prices, I think the number one consumer need is to be concerned about price range. I’m not saying cheap is better, but it’s something to be concerned about. (Male in his 20s)
・I’m not confident that I can clean the range hood well, so I’m asking a professional to do it, so I’m more concerned about the price than the ease with which it gets dirty or how easy it is to clean. 6th place: Design
・The first thing that catches my eye is the design. A design that suits your home. I want everyone to say it’s great. (Female in her 40s)

・When it comes to interior design, I have a very specific taste, so I want to choose a design that blends in with my taste, so I refer to reviews about the design. (Male over 50s)
6th place went to “durability” and “design.”
There were also opinions that they wanted to choose something that would be as unbreakable as possible, and one that had a design that would not damage the interior.

When we surveyed 100 people, 50.0% of them answered that it was “easy to clean.” There were also many reasons why people answered, such as because it was difficult to remove and because they were worried about sticky dirt.
Since range hoods are not something that can be easily replaced, many people feel that they have to clean them frequently.
