Two current Keio students serve as co-representatives, and the organization aims to give students the opportunity to think deeply about their careers and increase the number of human resources with high market value, thereby raising Japan’s economic power to rival that of the United States and China. Percify Inc., a student venture company, hosted a career event called “BUCHIAGE,” welcoming Shinji Igarashi, vice president of Accenture Inc., as a guest.

In the past, it was common for people to join large companies and receive lifetime employment, but now that society is changing rapidly, I feel that it is now necessary to be aware of and increase one’s market value. Mr. Igarashi, who is active on the front lines of society, gave a lecture on “future trends in Japanese society and the world”, “what it takes to become a person with high market value”, and “the future of the consulting industry”. I received it. After the lecture, there was time for students to ask questions directly to Mr. Igarashi, and there was also a networking session between the participating students, which was very lively at the venue.

“It was a very valuable experience to listen to the vice president’s story, which even Accenture employees don’t often have the opportunity to hear, and it helped me gain a better understanding of the consulting industry, which I didn’t really understand until now. I was very grateful because it was around the time when I was thinking of starting to think about finding a job.Additionally, I was able to see that people my age were actively working, which made me feel anxious in a good way, and it made me feel better about myself. It was a great stimulus for me to think about the future of the world.I’m glad I participated.” (Mr. F, first year student at the University of Tokyo) Introduction of speakers
