Events have been decided for the “DL Christmas” train that will run on the Yamaguchi Line on December 23rd and 24th, and the “DL Tsuwano Inari” train that will run from January 1st to 3rd.
Why not take a ride on the “DL Christmas” and “DL Tsuwano Inari” and create some winter memories along with events that can only be experienced during this season?
1. When the DL Christmas issue is in operation
The DL Christmas issue will run on Saturday, December 23rd and Sunday, December 24th.
(1) Event at Shin-Yamaguchi Station

3. Event details
・Customers who board the DL Christmas train from Shin-Yamaguchi Station will receive an original novelty.
・Limited sale of baked sweets using Yamaguchi City’s specialty product “Tokusa apple”
(2) Event at Tsuwano Station
1. Holding a mini-event in time for Christmas (December 23rd, 18:00-21:00) ・Illuminations are turned on, and D51, which is statically preserved in front of the station, is lit up.
・Night Tsuwano Station exploration quiz (those who answer correctly will receive a gift)
・Stalls selling traditional station udon, pork koma soup curry, Iwami soba, etc. ・Unveiling of D51 made from paper string (approximately 1/24 scale) 2. Passengers riding the DL Christmas train will receive a coaster with the motif of the original head mark installed on D51, which is statically preserved in front of the station.
※It will be handed out at the Tsuwano Town Tourism Association inside Tsuwano Station.

1. When the DL Tsuwano Inari-go is in operation
The DL Tsuwano Inari-go will run from January 1st (Monday) to January 3rd (Wednesday), 2024.
(1) Event at Tsuwano Station
1. “Lion dance” performance in front of Tsuwano Station (January 1st only) 2. An original installed in D51, which is statically preserved in front of the station, for customers riding the DL Tsuwano Inari-go. We will give you a coaster with a head mark motif.
*It will be handed out at the Tsuwano Town Tourism Association inside Tsuwano Station.
(2) Events on the train (outbound: held between Shin-Yamaguchi Station and Tsuwano Station)
1. From January 1st to 3rd, a fox-faced ema from Taikodani Inari Shrine will be presented to those who ride the train. (Limited to 500 pieces and will end as soon as they run out)
2. From January 1st to 3rd, we will be holding a “Lucky Fortune” to try your luck at the beginning of 2024. Prizes for the winning lottery include original SL Yamaguchi goods, a limited Genjimaki set with an SL branding iron, and a pair of Ouchi lacquered chopsticks.
3. January 2nd Special “Night Train Photo Session” (from 18:00). D51, which is preserved statically in front of Tsuwano Station, will be lit up and smoke will be produced.
(3) Installation of original head mark
The Tsuwano Inari train will be operated with a head mark on the DL that is only available when it is in operation.
