Hidaka City is located within 40 kilometers (approximately 1 hour) from the city center, and has a compact townscape centered around the station. Hidakaya Hidaka Hagi store opened in April 2005 and has been patronized by many customers for 18 years. For Hi-Day Hidaka, Hidaka City is the birthplace of Tadashi Kanda, the company’s founder and chairman, and is also the origin of the company’s name.
