In addition to making the “Gold Mines of Sado Island” known to young people, which aims to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site, the “Niigata Association to Make Sado a World Heritage Site” is working to build momentum for the registration, which is expected next year, by 2022. The cheering song [KIN ZAN GIN ZAN – Sado is now a world heritage site], which was produced last year, was written and composed by Yuki Watanabe, a member of the school’s sound creator department, and was selected for this work.
This time, students from the school’s dance department created a cheering song and choreography to support this activity with song and dance, expressing their desire for the “Kanayama of Sado Island” to be registered as a World Cultural Heritage Site.
In the video, we photographed Warito in Doyu and the remains of the Kitazawa flotation plant, and this time we also collaborated with island-based YouTuber Kee [Island Raised], who is from Sado Island. Kee [Island Raised] is a very popular YouTuber with over 500,000 subscribers, and is an influencer who is making a major contribution to the local community through activities that promote Sado Island, such as attracting visitors to Sado Island, related goods, and corporate collaborations.
Kee [who grew up on the island] exclaims, “Sadogashima”, and his own stories and poses depicting Sado were used throughout the event, and Kee himself danced with the students at the school’s studio. Ta. For the students at the school, filming based on Kee-san’s original scenario was an experience they would not normally have, and it was a new learning experience.
