See that shine again! “Lighthouse FES Hinomisaki 2023” after movie now available!

The Hinomisaki-Sagiura Lighthouse Utilization Project Consortium will be releasing an after-movie for “Lighthouse FES Hinomisaki 2023,” which was held at the Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse in Taisha-cho, Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture on October 28, 2023, from December 15th (Friday). We have started publishing on the official website, official SNS, etc. As part of the Nippon Foundation’s “Ocean and Japan Project,” this project will excavate local ocean memories centered on lighthouses, connect regions to regions, different fields to different industries, Japan and the world, and create new marine experiences. This project is being carried out with the support of the “Sea and Lighthouse Project.”

“Lighthouse FES Hinomisaki 2023” is the tallest stone lighthouse in Japan, and the surrounding area is registered in the Japan Geopark, attracting many people to the Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse area, and the charm of the lighthouse, which is becoming historically valuable. It was held for the first time on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in order to send out the following. The event was held around a stage set up at the foot of the lighthouse with a variety of content including music, art, and gourmet food, and more than 3,300 people visited from within and outside the prefecture, three times the usual number.

This after-movie was created with the aim of attracting more customers and promoting our appeal in the future.
“Lighthouse FES Hinomisaki” is currently looking into holding the event in 2024 and beyond, and we are identifying and verifying the issues and areas for improvement, and preparing to hold it in an even better format next year.
