ZOZO Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture,
Representative Director, President and CEO: Kotaro Sawada), which operates the fashion e-commerce “ZOZOTOWN” (https://zozo.jp/), announced its ESG certification on Friday, December 8, 2023. (Environmental, Social, Governance) The Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (hereinafter referred to as “DJSI”) is comprised of companies in the Asia-Pacific region that are included in the “Dow Jones Sustainability Index” (hereinafter referred to as “DJSI”), which is a representative stock index for investment. For the first time, we have been selected as a component of the DJSI Asia Pacific Index.

“DJSI” is a representative stock index for ESG investment jointly developed in 1999 by S&P Dow Jones Indices LLC of the United States and RobecoSAM AG of Switzerland. Companies with excellent
sustainability are selected as constituent stocks by evaluating them in three areas: governance/economy, environment, and society. For the first time, our company has been selected as a component of the DJSI Asia Pacific Index, which is comprised of companies from Japan, Asia, and Oceania. Compared to the previous year, ratings increased in all ESG items, and the ESG disclosure level went from High to Very High (highest rank). (*1)
In addition to the DJSI Asia Pacific Index, which was recently selected this year, we have also included all constituent stocks (* 2) has also been selected. Since April 2021, our company has established a sustainability statement, “Connecting to a sustainable future through fashion,” and “Four Priority Initiatives” (*3), aiming for sustainable growth as a company and solving environmental and social issues. We have been working on this.
We will continue to work proactively to achieve our goals and aim to create a new world of fashion that is environmentally and socially conscious.
