◆ Overview The Faculty of Agriculture of National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Yasutomo Nasu) will hold the 3rd Lecture on Regional Revitalization Systems in 2023 on Saturday, December 16, 2023. The event was held at the Faculty of Agriculture building on the Tsushima campus of our university under the coordination of Professor Fumio Fukuda.
We invited four lecturers and one panelist under the theme of “multifaceted support for fruit growing areas and the interaction between fruit growing areas and the region created by an increase in the number of fruit farmers.”We invited four lecturers and one panelist to help them understand the various positions that support agriculture, and their respective activities in agriculture and the region. He gave a lecture on his involvement in the revitalization of the world.
After the lecture, a lively panel discussion was held based on questionnaires from the attendees, including the opinions of producers, on how to develop new producers and leaders, and how to relate to them.
A total of 65 people participated, including the general public, local government officials, high school students, university students, faculty members from other universities, and faculty members affiliated with our university.

Fruit trees (peaches and grapes) are essential for agriculture and regional revitalization, as it is hard to imagine Okayama without peaches. We will have people from various positions involved in making fruit growing areas attractive (prefectures, universities, regional revitalization cooperation groups, and companies) introduce their respective ways of involvement and prospects, while introducing producers to contributions to the region and challenges for
sustainability. We will discuss regional revitalization centered on fruit producing areas.
