Tokyo News Service Co., Ltd., which publishes “TV Guide” and “B.L.T.”, will release “Akari Takaishi’s First Photo Book Gento” in February 2024.

This year, she appeared in the movies “Baby Warukyure 2 Baby”, “My Happy Marriage”, and the drama “My Worst Friend”, and was awarded Best Emerging Actress at the 15th TAMA Film Awards held in November. Akari Takaishi is an award-winning actress and one of the most popular actresses right now. The filming location for Takaishi’s photo book was in the Tainan/Kaohsiung area of Taiwan. This is Takaishi’s first time going overseas.
The concept of this shoot was to allow you to enjoy a different Akari Takaishi every time you turn the page, and we not only captured natural and cute shots of Taiwanese people eating shaved ice and enjoying the night market, but also captured scenes of the desert being spectacular. She takes on the challenge of creating powerful and fantastic cuts, such as a spread out location, a place with a unique atmosphere where pipes are installed in a disorderly manner, and a shot of a person wearing a white dress walking into the sea with a sunset background in the background. Our aim was to create a photo book where you could enjoy Akari Takaishi’s various expressions in one book.

In addition, the title “Gento” refers to slides, which are images captured on film that are illuminated one by one with strong light and projected onto a projection screen. The word was chosen to describe Akari Takaishi, who has expressed herself in a wide range of ways as an actress, with the meaning of carefully portraying Takaishi one by one in each photo.
In addition, this time, there will be a special edition cover limited to corporations, a postcard included, and a face-to-face event will be held in Tokyo. Details including the release date will be announced later, so stay tuned for further updates.

We will be releasing our 1st photo book. Thanks to everyone who always supports us! thank you. My first photo book was my first time abroad! My time in Taiwan was like a fantasy, with the scenery, people, smells, etc. changing colors and shapes every second. Top-notch photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, and staff make sure you don’t miss out on that moment. I am truly grateful to have been able to create a miraculous piece with such dream-like people. This year, I have been exposed to various works and roles, and each role has a different appearance. This is a book that contains my thoughts. Nice to meet you!
