Skyland Ventures (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Partner/CEO: Yoshihiko Kinoshita, hereinafter referred to as SV) is a subsidiary of HIRAKU Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, President and CEO: Takashi Nakaoka, hereinafter referred to as SV), which aims to support employment of people with disabilities locally. We are pleased to announce that we have invested as co-lead investor together with ANOBAKA, East Ventures, and Taishi Fukudome in a funding round totaling 150 million yen (“HIRAKU”).

Skyland Ventures General Partner: Yoshihiko Kinoshita I met Mr. Nakaoka, President of HIRAKU, after talking with him at BEYOND2023’s startup/VC wall-based project, VC Scramble, which was held in Kyoto and run by Taliki. Although it was a short conversation, I learned that Mr. Nakaoka is a person with extensive consulting and VC experience and has the capabilities to reach an IPO, as well as the achievements he has made in welfare facilities, food and beverage facilities, and retail facilities, and the future market. We quickly recognized the potential, and at the next meeting we made an investment offer and reached an agreement. We hope to expand our business from areas with strong social needs in Japan, such as local career support, with a focus on welfare facilities, and to reach an IPO.
