A campsite was created in Fuji-cho, Saga City in response to the increase in the number of people interacting with each other. The key to regional revitalization is expanding the site area by utilizing unused and difficult-to-utilize mountains.

As a project to promote the use of abandoned farmland, which is one of the problems in mountainous areas, and to revitalize the region, Light gear LLC (Head office: Fujimachi, Saga City, Saga Prefecture, Representative employee: Takashi Yamamoto, former Saga Prefecture Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team) Muon Camp is run by Guesthouse Hideo Yama (location: Fujimachi, Saga City, owner Takeomi Fujita). We offer the ultimate silent experience while looking out at the countryside. As part of a regional revitalization project in Fuji-cho, Saga City, we expanded the area of a new campsite by utilizing the mountains of local residents.
Purpose and background of this campsite
As a regional revitalization project, our company opened a campground in October 2021 that utilizes abandoned farmland. Two years have passed since we opened, and many people have come from all over the country. It is loved by many people as a “campground that can’t be booked up to two months in advance.” Under these circumstances, a local resident asked us if we could make use of our mountain. Therefore, we decided to make use of this land and expand it into a camp association that can provide digital detox. Furthermore, we have decided to open the area as a pet-friendly area so that you can enjoy camping with your pet. We hope that people who spend their busy lives in the city will be able to experience a world without sound in nature, which will soothe their tired minds and bodies.

Muon Camp is a campground run by Light Gear, a joint venture between local residents and a local company.In addition to its luxurious space, which is limited to one group per day, it also has a bonfire space, tent sites, and other activities that allow you to fully enjoy nature, attracting many campers. This is a campsite that will captivate you. A pet-friendly site has been launched to allow more families to enjoy the event. Furthermore, the number of camp sites that utilize previously untouched mountains is expanding one after another. The entire facility has been designed with plenty of space, including space for family-friendly campers and a site in the forest where you can enjoy a solo trip.

Many campers have given up on bringing their pets with them, saying, “I want to camp with my pet, but it will cause trouble to other guests.” Pets are also important family members. Site A is open to the public as a pet-friendly area. You can enjoy it with your dog or other pet, so please come and visit us.

“Muon Camp” is a site designed for one group per day so that even the whole family can enjoy it leisurely.
This place is called the “silent area” by another name that is not listed on the map. Once upon a time, the locals used to nickname it, “It’s such a quiet place that there’s no sound.” It’s a quiet, completely private site limited to one group per day. You can enjoy this nature to the fullest without being disturbed by anyone. This campground consists of four sites: family, solo, car camping, and forest, so you can choose a campsite that suits your purpose. Would you like to spend some special time alone or with your loved ones, away from everyday life and feeling the silence?

In the future, we would like to continue giving back to the region by utilizing abandoned farmland and implementing “new actions” in regional revitalization projects so that people can enjoy the scenery of each season. We will also aim to build a system that will give vitality to the economy even in depopulated areas.
