“A BATHING APE(R)︎”
BAPE(R)︎) is pleased to announce its second collaboration with German luxury fashion house MCM, the first since 2019. APE wearing a golden dragon
We celebrate the Lunar New Year with bold patterns and playful graphics that combine HEAD, BAPE(R)︎’s SHARK, and MCM’s signature motif, Visetos.
The capsule collection is BAPE(R)︎ style SHARK
The lineup includes backpacks, belt bags, crossbody bags, Boston bags, tote bags, and pouches from bags that symbolize HOODIE and MCM. SHARK
HOODIE comes in two colors: MCM’s brand colors, cognac and black. The collaboration logo is placed above the Visetos monogram, and the words SHARK and “MCM” are lettered on the hood.
The bags feature APE HEAD’s iconic patchwork and this season’s new CAMO pattern, LIQUID.
CAMO is represented by a curve. The gold graphics and curves look beautiful against MCM’s standard colors of cognac and black. Sabine Bruner, President and Brand & Commercial Officer of MCM, said, “We are thrilled to be able to combine MCM’s tradition of
craftsmanship with BAPE®’s strong creativity. BAPE(R)︎ started an era in Harajuku, Tokyo in the 1990s. Each collaboration captures the essence of the era and takes luxury streetwear to the next level. , it will be a key part of the next generation.”
This collection reflects the quality craftsmanship and uncompromising design of both brands.
