A BATHING APE(R)︎ × mastermind JAPAN
“A BATHING APE(R)︎” (hereinafter referred to as BAPE(R)︎), which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2023, is “mastermind
JAPAN (Mastermind Japan)” will be released.
“mastermind” was founded by Masaaki Homma in 1997.
JAPAN” reigns as a luxury street pioneer from Japan with fans all over the world.
The latest collaboration collection focuses on classic styles such as varsity jackets, full-zip hoodies, tracksuits, crew neck sweatshirts, and T-shirts.
We also have a wide variety of items unique to this collection, including fur jackets, corduroy cargo pants, knit cardigans, and fur hats.
One of the T-shirts, “STA PATTAERN RELAXED TEE,” has a bold STA and crossbone skull pattern printed on it.
The binder on the back of the neckline has the “BAPE(R)” and “mastermind” logos, and has been thoroughly designed even to the invisible parts. The strap on the left hem also serves as an accent. In addition, the mohair knit cardigan has APE on the left sleeve. A crossbone skull is placed on the HEAD and right sleeve. A special piece that combines luxury texture and street sensibilities. A graphic that juxtaposes HEAD and STA with a crossbone skull, the symbol of “mastermind,” shows the friendly relationship between the two brands and asserts that this collaboration is inevitable. A varsity jacket with attention to detail in black, including the patches, embroidery, and ribbing, and the sleeves are made of leather. The STA and crossbone skull emblems are lined up on the sleeves and back, making this item unique to the collaboration. You can feel the attention to detail, such as the flap pocket on the left front, the D-ring on the back neck, and the zipper closure on the cuffs. Visual shooting was done at BAPEXECLUSIVE(TM) AOYAMA. Multicolored neon lights illuminate the jet-black collection.
A collaborative collection that intersects the personalities and identities of both brands will be available from Saturday, January 13, 2024 at BAPEXCLUSIVE(TM) Aoyama and BAPE.
