Why create “Next Base”?
In 2024, expectations for “startups” will be greater than in the previous 10 years. Next Base is a startup base in Shibuya Sakuragaoka operated by two VC companies, and aims to be a place that produces startups and the “next” generation of startups. During the day, it serves as a workspace for startups in their seed stage, where conversations beyond the project can take place, and at night, startup events are held, so we want to create a place where we can interact with new startups every day. Recently, while work styles have changed and remote work has become popular, I feel that the importance of face-to-face communication in startups before and after founding is being recognized again. Based on this background, we opened “Next Base” with the aim of expanding and strengthening the startup community by expanding the network that can be utilized by operating with two VC companies.
We hope to contribute to the expansion and strengthening of the startup community by creating a virtuous cycle that increases the speed of growth through new discoveries and realizations through conversations and interactions between entrepreneurs before and after their founding, and from information that fits their business and situation.
