Cumulative orders for Terra Charge EV chargers exceed 25,000 units *Achieved in 1 year and 9 months since business launch in April 2022. We aim to install 100,000 units by 2027. *
*Terra, which operates the EV charging infrastructure business “Terra Charge” Motors Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Toru Tokushige, hereinafter referred to as “Terra Motors”) has received 25,325 orders for EV chargers at the end of December 2023, reaching 25,000 units.

In April 2022, “Charge” began offering a free installation plan for apartment complexes where consensus building is difficult, in order to advance the development of EV charging infrastructure, which has been an issue as Japan transitions to EVs.
Since then, we have expanded our EV charging infrastructure to include not only apartment complexes but also lodging facilities, commercial facilities, public facilities, and all locations with parking lots across Japan.
Thanks to the many companies that have introduced the product and partner companies, the cumulative number of orders for EV chargers has reached 25,325 units*, exceeding 25,000 units. This will be achieved in 1 year and 9 months from the start of the service in April 2022. The current number of EV chargers installed is 1,824 locations and 4,475 ports (as of January 18, 2024). For orders that have not yet been installed, we plan to install them by March 2025.
The goal is to have 100,000 units of Terra Charge installed in approximately 30,000 locations by 2027.

“Terra Charge” introduces the optimal EV charger from a rich lineup according to the usage scene and facility.
We offer a wide lineup of charging equipment, including regular chargers with charging outputs of 3kW and 6kW, and quick chargers with a charging output of over 50 to 150kW (all made in Japan). It continues to develop as a charging infrastructure that responds to a wide range of needs and facility types.

Of the 25,325 total units ordered, approximately 18,800 units (approximately 75%) are 3kW chargers, approximately 6,200 units (approximately 24%) are 6kW chargers, and approximately 300 units (approximately 1%) are quick chargers.
