I have been in charge of the design of SOZOW Park since its inception, but for this renewal, I focused on brand communication that visualizes the value of SOZOW Park.
We conducted a number of interviews with parents who visit the park, and gathered many examples of what users objectively thought were the benefits of SOZOW Park and the changes that occurred in their children because of SOZOW Park. Through this process, I noticed not only the power of digital technology such as Minecraft and the development of a curriculum to acquire non-cognitive skills, but also the staff’s “ways of interacting with children without denying them” and “an attitude of sincerely praising others.” Many changes occur in children due to this. Many parents are also feeling this.
Therefore, we redesigned the information to convey the thoughts and attitudes of our staff.
During the renewal project process, we also held a workshop for all SOZOW Park staff to re-understand and enhance the brand promise. What we realized was that the children were “curiosity explorers,” and we, the SOZOW staff, were “curiosity supporters.”
Recognize the power and potential of children’s curiosity, nurture and support it. Beyond that, you will acquire the power to live in the future. Our communication design conveys our commitment to pursuing “edutainment.”
We also want adults to feel that they value their own curiosity, so we incorporate playfulness throughout the website. It took a lot of effort, but we implemented a lot of dynamic functions, and even created a mechanism where each of the six unique SOZOW guides suddenly appeared from somewhere. Please be excited and look for it!
