GMO Internet Group (Group Representative: Masatoshi Kumagai), which develops internet infrastructure, advertising, finance, and crypto asset businesses under the slogan “Internet for Everyone,” will open a business in Setagaya, Tokyo on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. We have opened a security operations center (SOC) called “GMO Ierae SOC Yoga” in “GMO Internet TOWER (Setagaya Business Square)” in Yoga, Ward, which conducts defense and analysis of cyber attacks.
“GMO Ierae SOC Yoga” will be used by GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae, Inc. (Representative Director: Makoto Makita, hereinafter referred to as GMO Cybersecurity by Ierae), which operates various cybersecurity businesses within the GMO Internet Group. In conjunction with the opening, the company will begin offering a new “SOC service” that centrally monitors and defends against cyber attacks.

“GMO Ierae SOC Yoga” consists of a “First SOC” where engineers are stationed and utilized, and a “Second SOC” where engineers come together to defend and analyze in the event of an emergency such as a concentrated cyber attack on a customer. It consists of two parts. These “SOCs” will also be used as bases for security research and development and information dissemination.
The cyber security business is expected to have strong synergies with the Internet infrastructure business, which is a strength of the group. Through this initiative, GMO Internet Group and GMO Cyber Security by Ierae will contribute to strengthening Japan’s SOC and cybersecurity.
