Axis Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Shogo Kawano) is co-sponsoring information dissemination with Kagayaki Clinic, a home care support clinic in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, and the medical corporation Teruyukai Kagayaki Clinic (Director: Hiroki Nanjo). The second distribution of the project “Dr. Nanjo’s home medical radio that you can do with a little effort” will be held from 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31st. *
Axis Co., Ltd. and the medical corporation Teruyukai Kagayaki Clinic will be holding a home medical care awareness project that will provide a new perspective on home care from the forefront of medical care from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. We will be holding the second distribution of “Home Medical Radio that you can do if you just try hard.”
The theme of the second session is “Poop (Excretion Part 1)”. The reason behind the selection of this theme is the importance of continence care in home medical care.
Continence care is the basis of home health care and an essential part of supporting the health and dignity of patients. If proper excretion management is not performed, various problems may occur, including skin problems, increased risk of infection, and psychological distress. Therefore, understanding and practicing appropriate continence care in home medical care is extremely important as it greatly influences the quality of life of patients.
In the second broadcast, we will talk with home care specialist Dr. Hiroki Nanjo about the basics of continence care, how to deal with it in the home environment, and the challenges faced by patients and their families. Navigator Ryuichiro Naono provides practical knowledge.
In this distribution, we keep in mind that we will “chat about the reality of home medical care that cannot be discussed in academic settings from the perspective of doctors and patients,” and by conducting regular distributions, we will be able to help people understand the importance of home medical care and its actual situation. We aim to ask questions of the world in an easy way and deepen understanding and sharing with our viewers.
