The Japan Padel Association (hereinafter referred to as JPA) held the Japan Padel’s largest ceremony of the year, “JPA AWARDS 2023”, on Saturday, February 3rd.
“JPA AWARDS 2023” is a ceremony to look back on the Japanese padel world in 2023 and look forward to the further development of the padel world in 2024. In addition to all the sponsors and partner companies who support the Japan Padel Association on a daily basis, we would like to express our gratitude to the 2024 designated players, 2024 junior designated players, padel enthusiast evangelists, and FiNANCiE token holders. More than 60 people participated.
Additionally, approximately 800 people watched the live broadcast on the day.

After the performance, the opening speech was given by Koji Nakatsuka, president of the Japan Padel Association, and special guests. Ambassador Vitor Sereno, the Ambassador of Portugal, took the stage and received words of congratulations on the holding of “JPA AWARDS 2023″, his love for the sport of padel, and words of support for the Japanese padel world.
The talk show, with the theme of “Padel of the World Seen from Various Perspectives,” was held in Spanish. The 2023 Japanese national team captains of both men and women appeared on stage and had a conversation with the ambassador. Koji Nakatsuka, president of the Japan Padel Association, who served as moderator and interpreter, spoke about padel around the world from an operational perspective, based on his experience at the Junior World Championships held in his native Paraguay last year. Both captains talked about the rapidly growing countries of Asia and Africa, training opportunities overseas, etc. from a player’s perspective. Lastly, the Ambassador of Portugal gave a message of support to the 2024 Japanese national team.

Next, at the “JPA AWARDS 2023 Awards Ceremony,” eight awards were presented to celebrate the contributions to boosting the Japanese padel world in 2023. Last year’s NEW Facility Award was renamed the Facility Special Achievement Award, and this year we have newly established the “Padel Special Achievement Award.” The winners of each award are as follows.
