The public personal authentication service uses the electronic certificate installed in the IC chip of the My Number Card to prevent fraud such as forgery of identification documents, impersonation by others, and falsification of data, thereby ensuring safe and reliable identification. This is a service that realizes this. With the introduction of this function, in addition to eliminating the need to take a facial photo for identity verification, it also eliminates the need to enter some application details such as name and address, making the process smoother.
This time, we have adopted Polarify Public Personal Identification Service (JPKI) by Polarify Co., Ltd. to introduce this function, and we are considering expanding its introduction to identity verification operations at SMBC Group companies in the future. We will continue to work hard to prevent fraudulent account opening and use, and will work to further expand our services with the aim of improving the convenience of account opening and other procedures.
