What is “inquiry learning” and “Quest Cup National Tournament”? “Inquiry learning” is rapidly spreading in schools. With the revision of the curriculum guidelines, “comprehensive inquiry time” will be made compulsory in high schools from 2022, and exploratory learning will be incorporated into subject studies and entrance exams. In 2005, we began offering the inquiry learning program “Quest Education” (https://eduq.jp/for-school/quest/). This year, it is Japan’s largest inquiry learning program, with approximately 85,000 students (as of October 2023) participating in 410 schools nationwide. The “Quest Cup National Tournament” is held every year as a culmination event to share the results of students’ pursuits with society.
