MUJI’s product lineup, which has been sold for over 40 years, is created through various processes, such as the antithesis of the times or to enrich people’s lives. It is searched and created. In this exhibition, we will create and propose products that can be installed in mid-century modern spaces using existing MUJI products as a base. Planning cooperation and furniture production will be provided by Tetsumasa Suda, a leading Japanese expert in this field who witnessed the explosive mid-century modern movement that began in the United States in the mid-1990s and has been transmitting that style to Japan in real time. Requested by. Based on Mr. Suda’s playfulness and ideas, the design is based on the image of an “architect’s room” made up of MUJI products and MUJI products that are lightly transformed into a mid-century modern style with parts made of unique colors and materials. Create a space.
By stepping out of our conventional thinking, such as MUJI’s furniture and products, we can expand our possibilities and enjoy the richness of being able to interact with and enjoy our customers freely according to their own preferences. We would like to make this exhibition an opportunity to not only suggest ideas, but also to lead to further creativity.
We are also planning other talk events and hands-on events during the exhibition period.
Details will be posted on the Life in Art website and official Instagram. We also sell vintage furniture at all Idea Shop stores and MUJI (Ginza / Tokyo Ariake / Eas Kasugai / Hiroshima Alpark / Itabashi Minamicho 22 / Grand Front Osaka / Kichijoji Marui).
