Opened in 1934 (Showa 9). A 90-year-old classic hotel whose
predecessor was Gamagori Hotel, which was designated as the first international tourist hotel. The Art Deco-style interior and spectacular views of Mikawa Bay create a relaxing space. The meals at our unique restaurant are well-received, with fresh local ingredients arranged using our own techniques.
In 2006, its historical value was recognized and it was designated as a Heritage of Industrial Modernization.
Since April 2012, we have been operating as Kuretakeso Group’s “Gamagori Classic Hotel”, inheriting history and tradition.
In 2017, nine classic hotels representing Japan collaborated to establish the Japan Classic Hotel Association.
In February 2022, the building inside the hotel was registered as a nationally registered tangible cultural property and designated as a building of scenic importance by the city.
