We collaborate with various partner companies, local organizations, and governments to develop services and initiatives that go beyond the framework of a food company, such as supporting the healthy lifespan of pets with nutritionally balanced food.
On the other hand, Osaka Prefecture, which has concluded a
comprehensive partnership agreement with Nestlé Purina, has
established an Osaka Prefecture Animal Welfare Agreement as part of its efforts to “achieve a society in which humans and animals coexist with the aim of achieving zero culling in society as a whole.” We transfer animals housed in our management center. We are currently working to raise awareness of adoption through our website and social media, but the challenge is to promote adoption of adult cats. This time, with the cooperation of Konan, a leading home center company that actively engages in ESG activities, a permanent adoption space exclusively for adult cats in Osaka Prefecture will be set up at the Konan Sakai Takasu store from February 22nd (Thursday). Through this activity, we will create an opportunity for adult cats who are not used to people to learn how to interact with people and the sense of distance, and we will also give local people the option of adopting a cat when raising a cat. We aim to raise awareness of this issue, have as many adult cats as possible adopted, and increase momentum for animal welfare.
