Ichiro Yonezu, President and Representative Director of Aeon Pet Co., Ltd., will be on stage at the “Symposium on Human-Animal Coexistence – Understanding the feelings of people who don’t like pets”, which will be held by the Ministry of the Environment on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Background and purpose of the symposium
This symposium was held based on the current situation where 70 to 80% of the people do not own pets, and with reference to the results of a survey on the attitudes of people who own animals and those who do not own animals. The event will feature lectures and discussions by experts, and will work to foster mutual understanding among people with diverse values. At this symposium, we plan to have a discussion focusing primarily on pet animals kept at home.
Aeon Pet Co., Ltd., whose corporate philosophy is a happy symbiotic society between animals and humans, will be a panelist at this symposium, discussing trends in the pet industry, the direction of solving social issues, and initiatives aimed at a sustainable future where pets coexist.
