“Future Boy Conan” is the first stage adaptation of the anime produced by Japanese Animation, known as Hayao Miyazaki’s first directorial work. It has been decided that Yuka Kageyama will play the role of heroine Lana. This work is scheduled to be performed at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater Playhouse in May or June 2024, directed by Inbal Pinto and David Manboeuf, who captivate with their imaginative imagination. “Future Boy Conan” is an animated series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Hayao Miyazaki in 1978. A heart-pounding adventure set on a devastated Earth after the Last War, where Conan, a fearless wild child, fights against humans who still cling to power. A group of unique actors will take to the stage to perform “Future Boy Conan.” The stage adaptation of “Future Boy Conan” is based on the musical “The Cat Who Lived a Million Times” in Japan, and “The Wind-up Bird Chronicle” based on Haruki Murakami’s original work, and continues to captivate audiences with its unique spatial production. -Creator Profile- ■Inbal Pinto (Direction, Choreography, Art) Born in Israel in 1969. She started dancing at the age of 5 and studied graphic arts at the Jerusalem Besar Academy. She is a member of the Batsheva Dance Company as a dancer. He began choreographing in 1990, and made his full-fledged debut with “Dio-Can” in 1993. This is my second collaboration with Inbal, after “The Cat Who Lived a Million Times.” My impression of the rehearsal room last time was “messy”. Just as dance choreography begins on stage, singing practice begins near the piano, and play rehearsal begins in another corner…all at the same time (lol). Just like a craft workshop, each part is made by a different craftsman here and there. Eventually, they all become one in the space of the theater. I feel like I went through that process with them.
