Students share fashion, makeup, nails, and hair in the art project “UMEDA WAVE”! A trial event will also be held on Saturday, February 17th and Sunday, February 18th.

Students from our university’s Fashion Design Department, Advanced Professional Course, Fashion Design Department, and Fashion Technology Department will hold an art project called UMEDA to promote the charms of Umeda, which will be held from February 12th (Monday/Holiday) to February 18th (Sunday). Participate in WAVE. This initiative is a collaboration with Umeda 1-chome Area Management, a general
incorporated association, and is a continuation of last year’s initiative.

The creativity of Osaka Mode Gakuen students will be disseminated as “UMEDA WAVE” to create Umeda where “people”, “place” and “time” overlap.
The poster on display depicts a rough sketch of the costume that has been synthesized into the city of Umeda, and from February 15th (Thursday), mannequins will be displayed wearing the costume that was actually produced as a work. . Furthermore, on February 17th (Saturday) and 18th (Sunday), students from the Makeup and Nail Department will hold three hands-on events including hair arrangement, point makeup, and nails. Anyone can participate for free.

Rough sketches of costumes drawn by five groups from the Osaka Mode Gakuen Fashion Design Department’s Advanced Professional Course and Fashion Technology Department were combined with photos taken at five locations in the Umeda area and displayed as a large poster on the wall. A poster introducing the activities of Umeda 1-chome Area Management, a general incorporated association, will also be on display.

Mannequins wear the costumes created as works of art and display them.
