Yoshiaki Ha was born on July 7, 1946 in Kumamoto City.
He lived in the center of Kumamoto City near Kumamoto Castle until he was 18 years old, and then entered university in Tokyo.
While in school, she aspired to become a fashion illustrator, but when she chanced upon the work of a picture book author of her generation, Kota Taniuchi, she began producing picture books. Then, in 1973, she published the picture book “My
I made my debut as a picture book author with “White Birds on the Bench”.

Later, he was discovered by Takashi Yanase, the creator of Anpanman, and greatly expanded his career as a fairy tale writer. In addition to Sanrio’s stationery such as postcards and letter sets, illustrations were also used on many daily necessities such as towels and Western tableware, and landscape paintings depicting beautiful scenes became popular. After more than 40 years of painting, he continues to publish new works as a picture book author, and in recent years his “Words”, which contain hints for living a happy and peaceful life, have been attracting attention.
