Building management work has tougher working conditions than other industries, with many night shifts and early morning shifts in buildings, which has become difficult due to a lack of manpower. The labor shortage is only getting worse, and it is difficult to see any improvement. In some cases, building management through patrolling by guards has become difficult, and many companies are struggling with this problem. ■Monitoring of toilets, locker rooms, etc. where privacy is a concern is difficult with surveillance cameras Monitoring with surveillance cameras is essential in building management operations. On the other hand, there are some places where it is difficult to install surveillance cameras due to privacy concerns, such as toilets and changing rooms. The reality is that there are still tasks that rely on human labor. ■What is a smart building made possible by high-resolution infrared sensors? A smart building that collects and analyzes data on the flow of people by installing sensors in offices, conference rooms, etc. within the building. By using high-resolution infrared sensors, it is possible to visualize the entire building while taking privacy into account, such as toilets and changing rooms. When we think of smart buildings, we have the image of appropriately managing and operating energy consumption such as air conditioning, ventilation, and electricity consumption. In addition, there are also technologies that break through conventional wisdom in building management, such as the ability to monitor power distribution board troubles in the dark using monitoring unique to high-resolution infrared sensors. We will provide an easy-to-understand explanation while viewing the thermal images we have taken. (For details and to apply for participation, click here)
