While aiming to become a global brand starting from New York, we would like to spread our richly designed clothing to the world. I strongly sympathize with GU’s vision. Through this collaboration, we believe there is a chance to deliver UNDERCOVER’s taste on a scale that cannot be achieved by a single brand. I wanted to challenge that possibility once again. As someone who works in the apparel industry, I respect the fact that they are able to achieve this level of quality at such a low price, knowing how GU makes their products. I felt that there were many parts that were closely linked to my own way of thinking about everyday wear and the concept of GU’s clothing making, so I based myself on a simple design that is easy for everyone to pick up, and added “”” in every detail. I would be happy if this collaboration would help people get to know UNDERCOVER and GU more widely, regardless of generation or region.
