“RISING! 5.0” aims to achieve one of the following:・Three or more supported companies will begin activities that can serve as role models, such as listing, M&A, collaboration with large companies, and global expansion within FY2023.
-Three or more supported companies will achieve at least 4 times the sales, 4 times the number of users, or 2 times the employment within 3 years after the support.
The Keihanshin area, which includes Osaka, has been selected as a “global hub city” by the Cabinet Office and other organizations with the aim of building a base that will continue to generate strong start-up companies. To achieve this, it is necessary to build a “startup ecosystem” that will create and nurture startup companies that will lead the next generation of industries. However, compared to other countries and the Tokyo metropolitan area, Osaka has a disparity in the growth environment for startup companies, including venture capital firms, and the problem is that the startup company community is still small. Through RISING!, we aim to create a foundation for startup companies to sustainably emerge and grow in Osaka, and to make Kansai the hub of the Asian economy in the future. We hope that as startups grow into unicorn companies, funds and know-how will be returned to future entrepreneurs, creating a cycle that will attract even more venture capital.
