With the theme of “30 Ways to the Moon,” Ebisu International Film Festival 2024 will feature a wide variety of visual expressions of thinking and practice regarding nationality, race, gender, social issues, etc., from historical works to contemporary works, possible from various angles. Explore sexuality. With the support of this center, we will invite contemporary Taiwanese filmmakers, experts, museum personnel, etc., and promote the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography to the world as a place for international exchange. Taiwan-related programs are as follows:
1. Screening program “Current Taiwanese short film art” [1st floor hall] Yuen Guangming, an internationally active filmmaker selected for the Taiwan Pavilion at Venice Biennale 2024, and Mio Iwakiri (art writer living in Taipei) , Taiwanese Contemporary Art Research) as a guest programmer, we will hold a screening program introducing the current state of visual expression in Taiwan. We will screen 14 works by Yuan Guangming + 12 mid-career and young contemporary filmmakers from Taiwan, and have an after-sales talk.
