On February 13, 2024, Recruit Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Yoshihiro Kitamura, hereinafter referred to as the Company) signed an agreement with Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture regarding population retention aimed at promoting employment and regional revitalization. We would like to inform you that we have concluded an agreement and will begin collaboration.
Our company aims to create employment opportunities in many regions across Japan, and since signing the same agreement with Kawaminami Town, Miyazaki Prefecture in February 2020, we have been promoting similar collaborations with multiple local governments. 1. Background and purpose
Population decline is a serious issue in rural areas. The cause of the “population decline” is the “population outflow” to urban areas due to continuous “social decline” (decrease in the number of people moving in, moving out due to higher education, employment, etc.).
