*Following the first Tyrannosaurus, the second “Stegosaurus” is released* Royal Mint’s new coin series “Dinosaur Specimen Collection” consists of three types of coins.
Each coin features the most scientifically accurate image possible of a dinosaur, created in collaboration with paleontologist Bob Nichols and Natural History Museum Professor Paul Barrett.
The first edition, released last year, featured a Tyrannosaurus rex design and received a large number of orders.
The second coin released this time features a pattern of the Stegosaurus, a herbivorous dinosaur that has been loved around the world for 150 million years.
It weighs 6 tons, has a small head the size of a plum, and has 17 giant bony plates growing along its spine.
Also known as the “roof lizard,” this dinosaur is a sought-after figure in movies and theme parks.
At the Natural History Museum in London, you can enjoy the most intact Stegosaurus fossil specimen ever discovered, measuring approximately 3 meters high and 6 meters long.

Preserves over 80 million historical materials! What is the Natural History Museum?
The Natural History Museum, London, was founded in 1881 as a branch of the British Museum.
It preserves over 80 million historical materials and is considered one of the largest natural history museums in the world.
The collection covers five fields: zoology, entomology, paleontology, botany, and mineralogy, and more than 5 million people from all over the world visit each year to see the famous specimens in each field. One of the most popular spots on the museum grounds is the “Blue zone,” where dinosaur specimens are displayed.
The specimens of dinosaurs, including the Tyrannosaurus rex, are placed in harmony with the historic architecture of the 19th century, inviting visitors to take a journey through eternity.
At the Natural History Museum, you can enjoy a specimen of the Tyrannosaurus rex, which was first discovered in the world in 1900 by fossil hunter Burnham Brown.
