Karate・2024 All-Japan training athletes decided
The All Japan Karatedo Federation, a public interest incorporated foundation, held a selection meeting at the Japan Karatedo Kaikan (Koto Ward, Tokyo) from February 9th (Friday) to February 11th (Sunday), 2024, to determine the 2024 All Japan Strengthened Athletes. .

After regular training camps, the representatives who will be sent to this year’s international competition will be selected from among the athletes selected in each of the five categories of men’s and women’s kumite, men’s and women’s individual kata, and men’s and women’s team kata.
The biggest international tournament in 2024 will be the 1st World Team Championships (*), which will be held in Spain from November 22nd (Friday) to 24th (Sunday). Men’s and women’s team kata and women’s team kumite have already qualified to participate, and the focus will be on whether all men’s team kumite can also participate.
*Starting this year, the World Championships will be divided into “team events” and “individual events” and will be held alternately every year (2024 will be the team event, and 2025 will be the individual event World Championships).
