We would like to inform you that we have started operation of the PKSHA Chatbot, a dialogue engine that utilizes deep learning and natural language processing (NLP), from February 2024 in collaboration with Joyo Bank, President and CEO: Tetsuya Akino. PKSHA Workplace uses a variety of AI SaaS products that utilize natural language processing technology, including chatbots, to realize a new relationship in which workers and software interact and evolve together, improving operability. Background of introduction:
Joyo Bank, whose main business base is Ibaraki Prefecture, is accelerating its digital implementation, as seen in January 2024 when it was certified as a “DX Certified Business Operator” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The bank had previously introduced a FAQ system to improve customer satisfaction and reduce the burden of telephone inquiries within the bank, but the bank was aiming for further improvements. There was also an emphasis on collecting data to ensure that customer feedback was heard and used to further improve services. In order to ensure the accuracy of the chatbot’s answers, we were considering installing AI, and in addition to the answer accuracy of the AI ​​dialogue engine, we found that it was highly compatible with the PKSHA FAQ (FAQ system) that was already in operation. The decision to introduce PKSHA Chatbot was made because it would eliminate the hassle of double management of FAQs. Another factor in our decision was that we had a support system for tuning in the initial phase, which is important for establishing operations, and that we had a wealth of know-how in the banking field.
Introduction overview:
A new chatbot will be installed on Joyo Bank’s website and released in February 2024, creating a system that can answer customer questions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Previously, customers had to search the FAQ page themselves, but with this introduction, we aim to make the service easier to use by allowing customers to smoothly resolve their problems.
First of all, while establishing the operation, we will increase the number of places where chatbots are displayed on web pages in the future, thereby reducing the number of man-hours required to respond to inquiries and improving customer satisfaction. We will continue to support the introduction of PKSHA Workplace by regional banks, explore new forms of communication using technology, and strive to accelerate the DX of regional banks as a whole.
