Timey receives new capital participation from four major logistics companies as shareholders
*Strengthening partnerships for medium- to long-term development of the industry facing the “Logistics 2024 Problem”*
Timey Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Ogawa Mine) conducted a secondary trading round and acquired AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings, Seino Holdings, and NIPPON.
We are pleased to announce that four logistics companies, including EXPRESS Holdings and Fukuyama Transport (*1), have joined our company as new shareholders.

* Background of capital participation *
In April 2024, the logistics industry is expected to face a serious labor shortage due to the application of the Truck Driver Work Style Reform Act. If no measures are taken, there is a possibility that there will be a 34% shortage in transportation capacity in fiscal 2030, and a solution is needed to support logistics as an
infrastructure. The government has stated that medium- to long-term environmental improvements are necessary, and has presented a “policy package for logistics innovation” that aims to optimize logistics, improve productivity, and improve efficiency. (*2)
Against this background, the number of people recruiting for logistics-related jobs posted on Timey has been increasing year by year, and in 2023 it will be approximately 1.8 times the previous year, setting a new record high.
The strengthening of our partnership with the four major logistics companies in which we have invested capital will reduce the burden on truck drivers in the short term by cutting out jobs that do not require skills. In the medium to long term, we will create points of contact with “diverse human resources such as women and young people,” as stated in the government’s “Policy Package for Logistics
Innovation,” and provide opportunities that will lead to “changes in consumer behavior.” We believe that this makes it possible.
In the future, we will jointly implement initiatives aimed at expanding the use of Timey in the logistics industry, improving the skills of spot workers working in the logistics industry, and helping them find long-term employment afterward.
