■About the shop at Hotel Concorde Hamamatsu
The introduction of this unmanned payment system is an effort to solve the labor shortage in the tourism industry, which has become a social issue in recent years, and to improve hotel convenience and customer satisfaction. The hotel had previously closed its staffed store due to a decline in the number of users due to the spread of the coronavirus, but tourism demand has recently recovered. In addition to business, the use of the facility has increased for leisure, and there has been a growing desire to eat, drink, and purchase souvenirs within the facility. With this background in mind, we have decided to revive and reopen the “hotel store” by realizing labor savings through an unmanned payment system.
TTG’s unmanned payment system uses multiple cameras and sensors installed in the store to recognize customers’ movements and the products they pick up in real time. When a customer stands in the payment area, the purchased items and billing amount are automatically displayed on the cash register screen. There is no need to scan product barcodes, and you can quickly complete your checkout. Additionally, there is no need to register as a member or use a dedicated app, and the checkout screen display is available in multiple languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean), allowing a wide range of customers to enjoy an easy and smart shopping experience. On the other hand, for operators, automating cash register operations reduces operational burden and improves staff work efficiency.
Furthermore, by utilizing this system, we are now able to allow stores to operate for long hours, which has been difficult in the past from the perspective of securing human resources. In addition to souvenirs such as food and drinks that are unique to the local Enshu region, we also sell daily necessities for long-term guests, allowing you to enjoy the hotel’s unique hospitality even late at night and early in the morning.
■About the unmanned payment system “TTG-SENSE MICRO”
“TTG-SENSE MICRO” is a space-saving, low-cost, unmanned payment system. Since it can be deployed in a small space of approximately 7 square meters, it can be deployed in convenience stores,
