Asuene, a cloud service for visualizing, reducing, and reporting CO2 emissions, operated by Asuene Co., Ltd. Issues in visualizing and calculating CO2 emissions in the construction industry The construction industry emits a large amount of CO2 during business activities such as procurement of materials, design and construction of facilities, and even operation, renovation, and demolition. It is said that one-third of CO2 emissions in Japan are related to housing and buildings. Decarbonization of the construction industry has become an urgent issue in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, which the Japanese government has advocated. Therefore, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will enforce the revised Building Energy Conservation Act in April 2021, increasing the obligation for large-scale non-residential buildings (total floor area of 2,000 square meters or more) to comply with energy-saving standards, and The scope has been expanded to include objects (such as offices with an area of 300 square meters or more).
