On March 1, Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo,
Representative Executive Officer and President: Atsushi Nakajima) began new construction work for the “(tentative name) Business Plan for Utilizing Idle Land on the East Side of the North Exit of Karuizawa Station.”
This project utilizes the site of the former Shinetsu Main Line, which was owned by Shinano Railway Co., Ltd. and discontinued due to the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 1997. Mitsubishi Estate will lease this site and provide free access to Karuizawa Station. Aqua Ignis Co., Ltd.
