TKP Co., Ltd. (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takateru Kono, hereinafter referred to as TKP) has a business relationship with Oita Kotsu Co., Ltd. (Head office: Oita City, Oita Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Kiyoharu Abe, hereinafter referred to as Oita Kotsu). A groundbreaking ceremony for a new hotel was held today, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, on land for hotel construction and opening (Kanaike-cho, Oita City, Oita Prefecture), on which we have concluded a fixed-term land lease agreement. The hotel has entered into a franchise agreement with APA Hotel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Fumiko Motoya, hereinafter referred to as APA Hotel), and will open in October 2025 as “APA Hotel – Oita Ekimae – (tentative name)”. It’s a schedule.

After the ritual, a meeting was held with the participation of Oita Prefecture Vice Governor Kenji Ono, Beppu Mayor Yasuhiro Nagano, House of Councilors member Seiichi Eto, and others.

“APA Hotel Oita Ekimae” (tentative name) is a newly built urban hotel that combines APA Hotel’s concepts of “high quality,” “high
functionality,” and “environmentally friendly.” It will have 12 floors above ground, 255 guest rooms, and a banquet hall on the first floor that can be used for meetings, social gatherings, and breakfast. There is a large hot spring bath on the top floor, and you can enjoy the night view of Oita city from the rooftop bar.
Our hotel is a 2-minute walk from Oita Station, which is served by three lines including the Nippo Main Line, and faces the Oita Station North Exit Rotary, which is the stop for the Oita Airport Access Bus Airliner. It is located in a business area that is the center of Oita’s economy, where government offices such as Oita Prefectural Office and Oita City Hall, financial institutions, and major companies are concentrated, and it is about 10 minutes by Sonic express train from Beppu, one of Japan’s leading hot spring resorts. The area also offers convenience for tourism.
TKP has achieved hybridization by combining conferences and lodging, and in addition to operating hotels through APA hotel franchises, we also operate banquet halls within APA hotels, and are working on strategic collaboration in various ways. . This hotel is the third franchise agreement we have concluded in the Kyushu area, following APA Hotel Hakata Higashihie Ekimae and APA Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin Nishi, with a total of 11 buildings and 2,265 rooms nationwide. We will be the largest APA hotel franchisee.
