First collaboration between Mitsukoshi Isetan Group and TOUCH TO GO Opens Queens Isetan unmanned payment store inside Mitsukoshi Isetan office

Mitsukoshi Isetan Innovations Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Junji Nukata, Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) together with MI Food Style Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Ryuichi Amemiya, Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), TOUCH TO GO Co., Ltd. (President: Tomoki Akutsu, Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter: TTG) will open a new unmanned store exclusively for employees in March 2024, incorporating the cutting-edge unmanned payment system “TTG-SENSE MICRO” developed by TTG. It opened in the Mitsukoshi Isetan office on March 18th. This is part of our efforts to leverage new technology to bring a new look to the working environment.

■About this initiative
This collaboration started as an experiment with an eye toward future store operations. Isetan Mitsukoshi Innovations aims to bring new value to the Isetan Mitsukoshi Group by combining the latest technology and content. In addition, MI Food Style aims to improve the customer experience by proposing solutions using digital technology to address future labor shortages and productivity improvement issues. TTG’s mission is to create future-oriented services that address these challenges, and the three companies have worked together to create an environment where employees can rest more comfortably.
This unmanned payment store offers a wide selection of high-quality products tailored to the needs of the facility, including Queen’s Isetan original bread and boxed lunches. By combining this with the unmanned payment system provided by TTG, speedy payments will be possible and a new purchasing experience will be provided. Through this initiative, we will take on the challenge of creating a new store management model.
■About the unmanned payment system “TTG-SENSE MICRO”
“TTG-SENSE MICRO” is an unmanned payment system that effectively utilizes space and achieves a high level of convenience while keeping costs down. Cameras installed on the ceiling and sensors installed on the shelves instantly recognize the items a customer picks up, allowing them to complete their checkout smoothly without having to wait in line at the register.
This system, which can be installed in a space of just 7 square meters, is expected to be used in a variety of locations such as convenience stores, offices, even hospitals and gas stations. This innovative solution offers unprecedented convenience for both operators and customers.
