MOU background and purpose
By combining UniFly’s state-of-the-art UTM, which has achieved digitalization of traffic management, and Sky Puzzler’s automated drone collision-free technology, the two companies will be able to solve the problem of congestion that is expected to increase as drones and flying cars become more widespread in the future. Our goal is to reliably avoid collisions and safely perform beyond-visual range flight in the airspace where the aircraft is exposed. The integration of these technologies minimizes the need for manual operations, enables smoother drone operations, and reduces the risk of human error. In addition, by further promoting innovation in UTM technology, such as improving technology for drones to automatically adjust their flight paths and avoid collisions in real time, we will promote the expansion of drone utilization across the industry. We will take on the challenge of taking the social implementation of urban air transportation (UAM) such as flying cars and next-generation air mobility (AAM) to a new stage in Europe.
Additionally, the two companies will help reduce the environmental impact of transportation by facilitating the seamless use of drones and reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Together with the European Commission’s Drone Strategy 2.0 and the European Green Deal, we aim for a safer and greener future for intercity air travel. Comments from representatives of each company
