This time, AI sports video provided by NTTSportic Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Masatoshi Nakamura, hereinafter referred to as NTTSportic) will be displayed at the Mitsunari Park Hockey Field in Okuizumo Town, Shimane Prefecture (Mayor: Tamotsu Itohara), which is certified as a hockey town. The latest model “S3” of the solution “STADIUM TUBE” and two fixed cameras (PTZ cameras) were installed. This is the first time in Japan (*) that AI cameras have been permanently installed at a hockey stadium.
This is a regional revitalization project that utilizes the hockey game by Okuizumo Town and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation Shimane Branch (Branch Manager: Akihiro Oda, hereinafter referred to as NTT West Shimane Branch). This is the first initiative (*) to solve the problem, and “STADIUM TUBE”, a service provided by NTTSportic, has been adopted for implementation.

Overview and purpose of this project
This time, the “STADIUM TUBE S3”, an AI sports video solution, has been permanently installed at the “Oku-Izumo-cho Mitsunari Park Hockey Field”, which uses AI to automatically film, edit, live, and archive distribution of games and practices. and two fixed cameras (PTZ cameras). By installing fixed cameras, full remote multi-angle live streaming is now possible. In addition to footage of the match using AI cameras, we will also use fixed cameras to capture close-ups of players and impressive behind-the-goal footage. These images can be switched remotely using a computer, so there is no need to take any on-site action. This makes it possible to significantly reduce shooting costs.
The Okuizumo Mitsunari Park Hockey Field is the home court of the men’s hockey team Serlio Shimane, and is also used by hockey teams in Okuizumo Town, including Yokota High School and elementary and junior high schools in the town, and is a familiar hockey field for Okuizumo residents. . This initiative aims to provide residents, hockey players, fans, etc. both inside and outside the town with a new way to enjoy hockey, which is the town’s town sport, and to improve their competitive abilities. The purpose of this project was to promote regional revitalization projects through “ICT x Sports” initiatives.
