“Sheraton Kagoshima” (location: 43-15 Koma-cho, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Hitoshi Imuta, General Manager: Takeki Toda), which will celebrate its first anniversary in May 2024, is holding a community and food collaboration fair No. The third “Izumi/Nagashima/Akune Fair” will be held for a limited time from April 2, 2024 (Tuesday) to May 31, 2024 (Friday).

Continuing from last year, the third edition of the food collaboration project with the local community, the “Izumi/Nagashima/Akune Fair,” was started by the desire of “Sheraton Kagoshima” to spread the appeal of Kagoshima’s food.
This time, we will focus on the Hokusatsu area, which is rich in seasonal ingredients, Izumi City, where a wide variety of
agricultural, forestry, and fishery products are harvested due to its warm climate, and ingredients grown in “red soil” that stores nutrients from the earth and sea. We will collaborate with three areas: Nagashima Town, which produces the best farmed yellowtail in Japan, and Akune City, a “food town” blessed with coastlines and mountains and shipping fresh seafood and agricultural, forestry and fishery products all over the country.
We use special products from each region, such as fresh fish such as sakura sea bream and yellowtail raised in the East China Sea, branded Kazuru Wagyu beef, potatoes grown in mineral-rich red soil, and branded mandarin oranges called “Daimasaki.” We offer a variety of menus.
The restaurant “Daily Social” will host a Japanese-Western buffet where you can enjoy creative cuisine and freshly prepared dishes from a live kitchen, while the cafe “&More” will offer “Japanese and Western cuisine” featuring rich sweetness. For a limited time, we will be selling “Taishoki” parfait with craffle and focaccia made with cherry tomatoes from Izumi. In addition, the modern sake restaurant “Satsumaguma” will offer special courses that can be enjoyed with Kagoshima’s famous sake. You can also enjoy shochu from Izumi Shuzo and Nagashima Kenjo at each restaurant.
For the fair, the head chef of Sheraton Kagoshima personally visited each region and carefully selected the ingredients, resulting in dishes filled with commitment and local love. Enjoy the rich climate and charm of each region through the cuisine provided by Sheraton Kagoshima.
4th floor buffet restaurant “Daily Social”
We offer a Japanese-Western buffet that uses plenty of local specialties and seasonal ingredients, such as fresh fish caught in Izumi, Nagashima, and Akune, and Kazuru Wagyu beef. We offer Japanese cuisine, including sashimi made from fresh fish caught in the waters near Kagoshima, chawanmushi made with sea bream soup, and shabu-shabu, which is popular for its live performance, as well as Western and Chinese cuisine made with Nagashima’s cherry blossom sea bream. In addition, the buffet uses a variety of ingredients that change daily, so you can always enjoy dishes that match the season.

We offer two types of courses: one where you can enjoy chewy red soil potato manju made with red soil potatoes grown on Nagashima Island, and the other where you can enjoy the finely textured and soft meat of Kazuru Wagyu Beef.
