Representative Director, President and CEO: Yasuyuki Sato, hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) will change its name to “Medcom Co., Ltd.” from April 1st. The smartphone service provided exclusively for medical institutions, “Nichibyou Mobile,” will also be renamed to “Medcom.”
In the future, we will improve the convenience and value of “Medcom” and promote medical DX in order to improve the efficiency of medical institutions’ operations and reform the way doctors work.

Our company is a venture company that uses the power of IT to bring innovation to Japan’s medical and healthcare fields. Founded in 2016, “Frontier Field” was named with the desire to “explore unknown territory” in the medical industry where DX has not progressed. For about 8 years since our founding, we have been working to develop and popularize “Nichibyou Mobile” in order to contribute to improving the work efficiency of medical professionals. We have decided to change the company name to make it more familiar to everyone by using the same service name as “Medcom.”
■Background of service name change
In conjunction with this company name change, Nichibyou Mobile, a smartphone exclusively for medical institutions, will also be reborn as “Medcom.” “Nichibyou Mobile” began providing services in January 2020, and is currently being used by more than 30,000 medical workers at 66 facilities nationwide (including those scheduled to be introduced). In addition, with the promotion of work style reforms for doctors, further expansion is expected in the future. Under these circumstances, we have decided to change the service name to “Medcom”, which is the same as the new company name, in order to make it easier for medical professionals who use the terminal in their hands every day to use it with a sense of attachment.

The new logo is composed of two colors: “Trust Blue,” a dark blue that represents a sense of trust, and “Relax Blue,” a light blue that represents a sense of security. The “Medsquare mark” formed by connecting the two symbolizes the connection and support of people, things, information, technology, and everything else in the medical and healthcare fields.

Our company was founded in 2016 and started with the company name Frontier Field. When I founded the company, I myself retired from the NTT Group and chose the name to reflect our desire to “explore uncharted territory” in the medical industry, where DX has not yet progressed. Like a person’s name, it is filled with very important feelings. Frontier Field is filled with such thoughts, and we have decided to change our company name to Medcom. Nichibyou Mobile (new service name: Medcom), a product based on our company’s purpose of “making everyone happy through a medical information revolution,” has become popular and has begun to evolve into a medical information platform. Our business has been launched to “explore uncharted territory,” which was our original idea when we were founded, and our company is about to take its next stage. Now that we have moved forward to the stage of accelerating our vision of “creating a medical ICT platform (Communication) and digitizing healthcare,” we believe it is time to change our company name to one that embodies that vision. ■Representative Director, President and CEO Yasuyuki Sato Profile After joining NTT, he was seconded to NTT Comware (formerly Docomo Systems), and then led multiple projects in the NTT Docomo Mobile Design Promotion Office. After serving as the person in charge of the medical information provision business at Nippon Altmark, he left NTT Docomo at the age of 49 and started his own business because he wanted to utilize his medical and communications knowledge to run a business that would be useful to society.
